About CFB Huddle
Last Updated: November 1, 2026
Welcome to CFB Huddle. If you're reading this, you're probably the kind of person who hates fall weddings, which is exactly the type of person I made this app for.
Meet the creator
My name is Stephen, but many of you may know me as Tubby. I have been active in the online College Football community for over 8 years now. It first started with my friend group creating an Instagram account called "Student Section" that grew to over 60,000 followers. While running that page, I also started the social media presence "Bring NCAA Back," campaigning for the return of College Football video games. That movement grew pretty large as well, amassing over 70,000 followers across all platforms. Once we successfully saw the return of CFB video games, I rebranded to TubbyCFB because I simply wanted to be me, a die-hard College Football fan. You can find my College Football content on my YouTube channel.
Fast forward to today, I have launched a College Football mobile app that I describe as "The College Football Companion App." It is a CFB app made by a CFB fan for CFB fans. If you are like me, you have been using the ESPN app to check scores and stats on Saturdays. And, again, if you are like me, you probably wondered why the ESPN app is so low quality. That is what gave me the idea to create a College Football app. Welcome to CFB Huddle.
What's inside the app
CFB Huddle has five sections:
- Huddle. This is the social feed and the heart of the app. Post your takes, talk trash, share the view from your seats, whatever floats your boat. If it is College Football, then it belongs.
- Stats. Team and player stats, schedules, standings, and polls. View the nation's leaders and stay informed.
- Games. Live scores, updated throughout the day. Whether you're tracking your team or keeping an eye on six upsets at once, it's all here. Each game has a live chat to give your take on what you are seeing.
- Community. Four community games: Pick 'Em, where you pick winners for every single FBS game; The People's Top 25, where you cast your weekly ballot to determine the best teams in the country; Upset Hunter, where you pick three weekly upsets and tally your points; and CFP Challenge, where you fill out your bracket and crown a champ.
- Profile. Manage your posts, pick your favorite team, and see your star rating.
Where we're headed
CFB Huddle is still early, and it's only the beginning. My goal is for it to become the place College Football fans digitally gather on Saturdays and throughout the offseason as we anticipate the season.
That means a few things. First, the app will keep getting better throughout the season and offseason. I'm watching how you use it and fixing what needs fixing. Second, the features you see today will grow deeper, with more stats, more ways to compete with your friends, and more reasons to hop on the app.
Most importantly, I want you to help shape it. If there's something you wish the app did, tell me. Some of the best ideas will come from the people using it every week! I share updates and my vision for the future on the CFB Huddle blog.
